The charges

Officers arrested a suspect in London later the same day, the force says. Juan Martez-Ortiz, 46, of Sevenoaks Road, has been charged with:

  • attempted murder
  • two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent
  • possession of a knife
  • aggravated burglary
  • stalking

He was remanded in custody and was due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Saturday 10 October, Kent Police says.

A charge is not a finding of guilt. The case is now active, so we will not report anything beyond what the force has published.
